I'm Tiara, a family photographer based in Raleigh, NC. I'm passionate about helping camera-shy families have photos they love and can't wait to print. Whether you're a family who hasn't had photos taken in years or you simply hate being on camera, I'll guide you through an interactive & fun photo experience. 

Growing up, quite a few people in my family hated being on camera — a big reason why photos of us, over the years, are sparse. When I first started my photography business almost 4+ years ago, I was shocked to learn most clients felt similar emotions as my family.

I realized that becoming comfortable on camera is a mental shift first, then a physical one. True camera confidence happens when we get out of our own heads. 

Just as I want to break the norm in my family to not take photos, I want the same for you! After photographing more than 100+ sessions, I've learned that feeling confident on camera isn't something you're born with, it's something you learn.

Over the last few years, at least 85% of my clients have briefed me about their “awkwardness” before their session! It leads me to believe that, at some point in our lives, we all think this too.

I love encouraging people! I know that's a common expression, but I really do. I naturally create a friendly rapport with my clients, which helps them to quickly feel comfortable and relaxed with me when they're having their photo taken. I bring a warmth and energy to my work that sets my clients at ease and gets the best emotion out of them. And, I must say, this is one of the best perks of my job!

I'm a Raleigh native who fell in love with a boy she met in middle school (or that's how my husband would describe the way we met) and started a life together a little outside the city.

I've been taking photos for some time now, and I couldn't think of anything else that allows me to love on people so well. I like to help people feel seen and be encouraged. I want my work to really show my clients as I see them: confident, beautiful, and full of joy.
